So, ‘Intensive Interaction Week 2026’ is this week: Yes, this week! – from Monday 12th to Sunday 18th October. Intensive Interaction Week is our annual week when people from around the world collectively reach out and do something ‘a bit extra’ to promote Intensive Interaction and its life-enriching qualities.
This is a week when we can all join together to be loud and proud of the fantastic things we do, caring for and supporting truly remarkable people, with the support of a brilliant community of fellow practitioners and advocates worldwide.
On previous Intensive Interaction Weeks, people from across the world have:
• Posted photos and videos across various social media outlets to illustrate their Intensive Interaction work and/or care practices.
• Organised special Intensive Interaction information or introductory training events in schools or services.
• Organised special ‘Support Group’ or ‘Hub Meetings’ and invited new people along.
• Organised special showings of Intensive Interaction videos at various events at schools, homes, services, universities, etc.
• Hosted informal, drop-in Intensive Interaction Cafes or coffee mornings to introduce parents and/or other carers to the approach.
• Posted or shared special Intensive Interaction-related Blogs or other online postings with illustrative photos or videos.
• Posted out real paper letters and/or sent out emails about Intensive Interaction to local and national policymakers and politicians.
As always, during Intensive Interaction Week 2026, we would like members of our worldwide Intensive Interaction community to reach out further – to both those within and beyond our usual group of committed community members.
So let’s reach out and make contact with colleagues, friends and family members, social media contacts, managers (at all levels), directors and board members, trustees or governors, councillors and other representatives, community leaders, local and national politicians, influencers, policymakers, and anyone else who needs to be more informed about our responsive, connecting, nurturing, socially inclusive approach.
So please tell, show, visit, invite, host, meet, tell again, train, discuss, engage, facilitate, blog, tell once more, tweet, post, write, display, broadcast, and/or present or project something extra out there to help even more people become better informed about Intensive Interaction, and how vital it is for those most important to us.
Finally, please remember to share all your Intensive Interaction Week stories across all the social media platforms you are on – let’s make Intensive Interaction Week 2026 the best Intensive Interaction Week ever!
